Right Reflection

A new church is here

Queens Church is LAUNCHING Sept. 22 at 11am

Sometimes we look in the mirror and don’t believe what’s looking back at us. Nope, not someone behind us - our own face, right there in all of its sleepy looking, wrinkled, bags under the eyes, scruffy glory. That Reflection catches us off guard sometimes because before leaving the house, most of us clean it up a bit and forget the truth of what lies waiting to greet us after a night of sleep. Whether you’ve ever experienced this or not, I’m sure you know that we can be encouraged by the world around us to put on a different look in order to be accepted or be given value.

In the Bible, the Apostle Matthew pens a collection of Jesus’ words known as The Sermon on the Mount. Here Jesus transforms the way we think about who we are and how we view ourselves by painting a portrait of his followers.

This portrait is a beautiful description of your true identity when you follow Jesus. As one of his disciples, you can look to Jesus’ teaching here and have confidence that you are seeing your true self.

Want to fulfill your destiny? Want to find your truth? Live your best life? Discover your full potential?

Horoscopes won’t give it to you, the new diet you try isn’t going to bring it along, not a new job or a new boyfriend or spouse. When you look into any of those mirrors to find who you are you will always be seeing a counterfeit. Just like a counterfeit bill, it may look like the real thing but when the struggles of life come calling for you to pay up it will not hold any value.

God has big plans for you and discovering those plans begins with facing this portrait of your true self - who he designed you to be. Have questions or want to hear more about this?
